OUR HISTORY...
Grove Mill.. A 19th century flour mill situated on the chesterfield canal... join us with a brief walk back in time.
Early Years
Constructed in the 1900s as a flour mill. The mill has been designed and built around the curve in the canal, to allow easier access for canal boats to load/unload.
War Years
It is said that during the war, the mill was used as a factory to make knifes, and even repair parachutes.
The Mississippi Restaurant

Grove Mill Snooker
Grove Mill Snooker ran from 1984 up until 2024. The largest snooker club in Retford.
Retford Snooker
Now... With Grove Mill being up for sale, the building was purchased, and Retford Snooker was born! A new company, with new ideas, ready to take-care of the mill for this generation, until it is ready for the next.
But until then.. We hope you join us for a a game of snooker, or pool, or darts, or maybe a just a drink and chat.
